Paper Mâché (Cartonería)
The Tlanchana, a mythical figure from Mexican tradition, comes to life in this sculpture made with the paper mâché technique, a popular art form that shapes three-dimensional figures from paper and cardboard. Representing this mythical creature that inhabits bodies of water, the sculpture captures the essence of the Tlanchana with details that reflect its connection to the aquatic world.
Sculpture
The Tlanchana made of metal is not only an artistic representation of the mythical aquatic creature from Mexican tradition but also serves a practical and ecological function. Designed to serve as a waste collection receptacle in a lagoon, the Tlanchana figure transforms into a symbol of environmental commitment and respect for aquatic ecosystems.
Murals
The murals created by various artists in our community are a vibrant celebration of tradition, culture, and inclusion. Each piece is a visual testament to our roots, a fusion of historical, mythical, and social elements that tell the rich heritage of our people. These murals not only beautify spaces but also tell stories that connect past generations with the present while opening a dialogue about the future.
